The polyester fabric provides outstanding warmth to weight ratio during long days on the trail. Minimal seams reduce the potential for chafing and keep you comfortable. Underarm gussets allow for great freedom of movement on every terrain.
Our Verdict
The Berghaus Theralite HZ Tech Tee weighs 155g (Medium) and uses a lightweight polyester fabric with a regular fit that feels a little less restrictive than a close-fitting baselayer.
The half zip adds extra ventilation when you are working harder, while the longer hem, hidden thumb loops, and underarm gussets help it sit comfortably under a pack or another layer.
I also like the reduced seam construction, particularly for something designed to be worn next to the skin for long periods.
For me, it is a straightforward technical base layer with a few well-considered details rather than anything overly complicated.
