Our Verdict
The Berghaus Theralite Down Jacket weighs 513g (Medium) and combines 800-fill Hydrodown with synthetic sheet insulation, using body mapping to place each where it makes the most sense.
Down provides efficient warmth through the main body, while synthetic insulation suits areas more likely to see moisture or compression. The Pertex Quantum outer adds wind resistance without making the jacket feel overly heavy or bulky.
I also like the simple single-adjustment hood and the pack-compatible hand pockets. At 513g (Medium), it isn't a minimalist puffy, but the mix of insulation and straightforward, mountain-focused features gives it a clear purpose in colder conditions.
