Our Verdict
The Vesper 20F uses 900-fill-power hydrophobic goose down with a 360g fill to deliver an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio, weighing 585g. This high fill power remains a key strength, allowing the quilt to pack down small while offering a noticeable increase in warmth over lighter models. With a comfort rating around 0°C and a limit of around -6°C, it is well suited to colder shoulder-season use when paired with an appropriate mat.
The quilt design facilitates unrestricted sleep, allowing easy movement in camp without the constraints of a traditional mummy bag. Box wall construction helps the down loft effectively, reducing cold spots and maintaining consistent insulation across the quilt. The shaped footbox adds real warmth, enclosing the feet and improving overall thermal efficiency as temperatures drop.
