Made from Salewa’s lightweight Durastretch fabric, it is wind resistant, dries quickly and has 4-way stretch. Our tailored regular trekking fit is combined with stretch fabric to give the optimum pant for days in the mountains.
The two zipped hand pockets and single zipped back pocket secure your essentials, whilst the ergonomic adjustable waistband with snap button and belt loops works comfortably with a backpack.
This product is made with bluesign®-approved fabric, which means that it was monitored from the factory to the final product and subject to strict auditing to guarantee that it is harmless to the human environment.
The Puez Talveno should be a staple of any outdoor wardrobe. This version has a regular leg length.
Our Verdict
The Salewa Puez Talveno DST Pants are lightweight softshell trousers for walking, trekking and travel in warmer conditions. At 195g (Medium), they sit firmly in the light-and-comfortable camp, with Durastretch fabric that moves easily over steeper terrain and dries quickly after showers or on damp grass.
Salewa was founded in Munich in 1935 and is now based in Bolzano, in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. That alpine background is evident here in a simple mountain trouser built around movement, low weight, and practical weather resistance rather than unnecessary bulk.
I like the regular fit, as it gives a bit more everyday comfort than a tight fast-hiking cut, while the adjustable waistband works well under a pack. The two zipped hand pockets and zipped rear pocket also give secure storage.
