Our Verdict
The Women’s High Coast Tights feel more like a fast-moving summer layer than a heavy-duty trekking tight. The recycled polyamide blend is soft, stretchy and breathable, while the wide waistband keeps them secure without feeling restrictive. I particularly like the low-profile seams, which help them sit comfortably under a pack hipbelt, and the thigh pocket is large enough for a phone, which doesn't bounce excessively while walking.
The lighter fabric does mean they are better suited to paths and general hiking than rough scrambling terrain, but that is clearly the intention. Best suited to warm-weather hiking, travel and active everyday use.
