A compact bottle that works well with 28mm filters
CNOC Outdoors says:
The Vesica® is a collapsible, reusable and lightweight water bottle that behaves like a hard bottle for easy drinking on the move. The Vesica carries 1 liter or 700ml of water when full and stows away small while empty, making it the ideal travel bottle. Simply tuck it in your pack or suitcase while not in use and expand when ready to fill!
We've taken our experience from the Vecto and made a robust, light and easy to use bottle so you can have a handy tool to stay hydrated. Featuring a collapsible body with a stiff neck and bottom, the Vesica can stand when full with water or air, held for drinking and collapsed when empty.
Using the same universal 28mm thread as the Vecto, the Vesica can be used as a dirty water bottle for filters like Sawyer or HydroBlu. The Vesica’s squeezable design makes filtering easy, without the need to burp the bottle to maintain flow. If you like to filter into a container for easy drinking, use the Vesica with the Vecto to create a fast, light and easy to use filtering system.
Our Verdict
The 700ml Vesica sits nicely between a soft flask and a conventional bottle. Its flexible TPU body packs down small when empty, while the rigid neck and base make it easier to hold, fill and drink from than a completely soft bottle. At 59g, it also gives you useful extra water capacity without taking up much space when you don't need it.
The 28mm thread works with filters such as the Sawyer Squeeze, Platypus QuickDraw and other compatible 28mm systems. The squeezable body also makes filtering straightforward because the bottle collapses as water leaves it.
