Our Verdict
The Eagle Creek Tour Lite Travel Pack 28L is built around a clamshell opening, which I think is its biggest strength. It gives easy access to the whole main compartment, while compression straps and internal mesh pockets keep clothing and smaller items under control. A separate 15-inch laptop sleeve and front zipped pocket also make travel essentials easier to access.
At 846g, it feels sensibly weighted for a pack with a padded back, sternum strap and stowable hipbelt. The 48 × 30 × 15cm dimensions also keep it compact enough for under-seat travel on many airlines, although stricter personal-item limits are worth checking.
