Our Verdict
The Sea to Summit Telos Evo TR3 Tent builds on a design focused on usable space in camp, with this update refining its performance in damp conditions. The revised fabrics and coatings reduce water absorption and stretch, helping the fly hold a more consistent pitch in prolonged rain and dry more quickly between camps.
The Tension Ridge structure remains the defining feature. It lifts the tent shape, creating more usable headroom and internal volume. The result is a noticeably more open feel, with higher doors and more accessible space throughout. It accommodates three in a workable layout, but it feels particularly comfortable as a spacious two-person shelter with room to organise gear inside.
Ventilation is a clear strength. The updated apex vent, now closable and more effective, works with lower vents to create strong airflow through the tent. Condensation is well managed for a tent of this size, especially in changeable conditions.
Pitching is straightforward. The freestanding structure and colour-coded pole system make the tent intuitive to pitch. Multiple setup options provide flexibility, allowing the shelter to adapt to varying trail conditions.
At 1932g for the fly, inner and poles, it is not aimed at cutting weight. The focus is on space and comfort in camp, and the added volume is noticeable. Materials feel well considered.
