Our Verdict
The Sea to Summit Telos Evo Compact Bikepack TR2 Tent builds on a design focused on usable internal space, with this version adapted for packing into tighter spaces. The updated fabrics and coatings reduce water absorption and stretch, helping the fly hold a more consistent pitch in prolonged rain and dry more quickly between camps.
The Tension Ridge structure remains the defining feature. It lifts the tent shape, creating more usable headroom and internal space. The result is a noticeably more open feel, with higher doors and better access throughout. It comfortably accommodates two, with enough room to organise kit inside without feeling restricted.
Ventilation is a clear strength. The updated apex vent, now more weather-resistant and closable, works with lower vents to create strong airflow through the tent.
The key difference here is packability. Shorter pole sections make it easier to fit into frame bags or smaller spaces, and the ability to split the tent into separate components helps when managing load on the trail. That said, this version does not include a dedicated bikepacking storage bag that can be mounted to a frame, as previous versions did. That feels like a step back from what was previously on offer.
Pitching remains straightforward. The freestanding structure and colour-coded system make setup intuitive, and multiple pitch options add flexibility depending on conditions.
At 1524g for the fly, inner and poles, it balances packability with comfort, keeping the focus on usable space while adapting the design for bikepacking use.
