Highly livable, well-balanced shelter with improved ventilation and refined performance in damp conditions
Sea to Summit says:
Liveability evolved.
Most Liveable Lightweight Tent - Tension Ridge raises the tent’s shape upwards for more usable head-and shoulder space and creates truly higher doors for easier entry.
Adaptable to Changing Conditions - With multiple setup options, the tent can easily transform to provide shelter from the sun, wind, rain, bugs and cold, making it perfect for environments ranging from mountains to deserts and rainforests.
Upgraded Weather Resistance - Now featuring a waterproof zipper and air vent scoops that close and secure, the improved Apex vent provides significantly better ventilation and condensation management compared to other designs.
Improved Pitch - Supported by a DAC NFL poleset, the new RCS-certified recycled and bluesign APPROVED Ultra-Sil LS ripstop fabric reduces water absorption, dries faster and ensures a tighter pitch with minimal fabric stretch.
Our Verdict
The Sea to Summit Telos Evo TR2 Tent builds on a design that has always prioritised space and comfort, with this update refining its performance. The revised fabrics and coatings reduce water absorption and stretch, helping the fly hold a more consistent pitch in wet weather and dry more quickly between camps.
The Tension Ridge structure remains the defining feature. It lifts the tent's shape, creating more usable head and internal space than most designs in this category. The result is a noticeably more open feel in camp, with high doors that make entry and exit easier. It accommodates two comfortably, with enough room to sit up, organise kit and move around without feeling restricted.
Ventilation is a clear strength. The updated apex vent, now with a closable design and improved airflow, works alongside lower vents to create effective airflow. Condensation is well managed in changeable conditions.
Pitching is straightforward; the freestanding structure and pole layout is intuitive and colour-coded. Multiple setup options provide flexibility, allowing the shelter to adapt to varying trail conditions.
At 1499g for the fly, inner and poles, it sits above the lightest options, but the added space and comfort are noticeable.
