Our Verdict
The Membrane Solutions Squeeze Water Filter System is about as straightforward as it gets: a lightweight filter (61g) paired with a soft bottle, ready to go straight from the kit. It’s a familiar setup—scoop, squeeze, drink—but the five-stage filter punches well above its weight. It handled everything I threw at it, from tannin-stained streams to gritty puddles, delivering clean water with minimal faff.
The 0.1-micron filtration gives a decent flow rate for this kind of system, and the included bottle makes it a fully functional unit straight out of the box—no adapters or extras needed. It also connects easily to other bottles or pouches with a 28mm thread, adding versatility.
It’s worth noting that the filter benefits from a backflush if the flow starts to drop. A syringe would make that easier, but the soft bottle works well enough. With two bottles included in the kit, you’ve got options for clean and dirty water, or extra storage. For the weight and price, it’s an easy win.
