Our Verdict
Rab's Momentum Pants are an excellent option for lightweight, breathable, and mobile performance on warm-weather adventures. Made from their Matrix stretch nylon fabric, they emphasise airflow and uninhibited movement.
The looser, pull-on fit, articulated knees, and long gusseted crotch allow excellent freedom of motion. This makes the Momentum pants well-suited for activities like hiking, scrambling, and climbing, where full mobility is required.
Despite its minimalist weight starting around 240g, the Matrix fabric provides some weather resistance with a fluorocarbon-free DWR coating. Two open-hand pockets and a zippered security pocket give you basic storage options.
The lightweight elastic waistband with drawcord on the inside should keep the fit comfy and secure during active use.
