Ultralight and unintrusive, the Terra Nova Moonlite Bivi is a go-to choice for anyone pairing minimal weight with maximum versatility.
Terra Nova says
The Moonlite bag cover is an asset to our award-winning range of bivi bags. The Moonlite’s tiny pack size and weight also means it can double up as a survival bag on longer trips. Used with a lightweight tarp, it makes a great sleeping system.
Our Verdict
At just over 210g, the Terra Nova Moonlite Bivi would be a good set-up for fastpacking, tarp setups, or as a backup on longer trips. The TN Moonlite fabric is waterproof and breathable with a 10,000mm hydrostatic head and taped seams — more than enough for unexpected showers. The hood is secure with a drawcord and includes a small mesh screen, a welcome feature for midge season. I’d call the internal space snug, especially around the footbox, so bulkier sleep systems might feel tight, especially on a larger air mat. There’s no frame or hoop, so it’s not something I’d choose for multiple nights in a row without a tarp overhead.
A strong option for weight-conscious trips where simplicity and packability are key.
