Our Verdict
The Rab Kangri GTX Gaiters weigh 212g (Medium) and use a 3-layer GORE-TEX fabric with 300D reinforcements at the ankle for abrasion resistance. They shed rain, sleet and wet ground effectively, with breathability that holds up well for a fully waterproof barrier.
The zipless hook-and-loop front is quick and straightforward to adjust, while the TPU underfoot strap feels solid and less prone to failure than older buckle systems. The fit is generally accurate, although those with larger calves may find it close-fitting. Durability is strong in rocky or snowy terrain, particularly around the reinforced panels. For trekking and mountaineering use, they provide a reliable balance of weather protection, comfort and hard-wearing construction.
