The lamp unit weighs 99 g, and the slim, flat battery just 96 g. The ultralight, minimalist headband has a comfortable fit and is easy to adjust. It has an integrated textile cable extending at the back, for convenient battery storage in a pocket or running vest. This solution extends battery life and reduces weight on your head, offering a smoother, almost weightless feel.

Silva Free is the world’s first modular headlamp series, designed to give you more comfort, light, and more flexibility. Silva’s Free technology integrates all cables within the headband, meaning you won't be bothered by distracting wires. The modular design with interchangeable lamp units, batteries, mounts, and headbands makes it easy to customise your Free for different activities.
The Airflow technology delivers optimised cooling for improved performance regardless of activity, even when airflow isn't optimal. All Free headlamps feature Silva Intelligent Light – a double beam combining a long reach spot light and a close flood light. This results in fewer head movements and a better overview of the terrain, which results in improved balance and enhanced confidence, allowing you to maintain a higher speed.

Upgrade your Free lamp for more activities
Since all parts in the modular Free series are interchangeable, you can easily customise your Free for more activities by adding a lamp unit instead of purchasing an additional headlamp. Choose between four lamp units, five batteries, two headbands, and mount options for helmets, bikes, or GoPro mounts.
