A stealthy, solution-dyed version of our proprietary fabric is used on this tent, and it continues to excel at repelling water and staying taut even when wet. Even better, it has a superior tear strength to complement this tent`s now-tougher frame. (Crazy winds? Bring ‘em on.) The generously sized doors pair with roomy vestibules and a Landing Zone™ storage “tub” that can be placed on either side of the tent to help protect gear from muddy terrain. Inside, a gear loft and pockets keep belongings tidy while an overhead Nightlight Pocket™ casts headlamp light with a warm, even glow.
Included, as well, is a configurable daisy chain that can be positioned both inside and outside the tent to aid in drying wet gear. When it`s time to move, Dragonfly Bikepack neatly stores away in its bike-optimized dry bag, an updated design that`s sized for easy packing, opens from either end, and securely attaches (without wobble!) to the headtube and handlebars. Our Verdict
The Nemo Dragonfly OSMO Bikepacking 1P Tent takes the same low-weight approach and adapts it for bike travel, with a clear focus on compact pack size and ease of carrying. The updated OSMO fabric improves water resistance and reduces stretch when wet, helping the fly stay taut in prolonged rain and maintaining a more consistent pitch in damp conditions.
The shorter pole sections are a key difference here. They allow the tent to pack down smaller, making it easier to fit into frame bags or strap securely to handlebars. The included roll-top dry bag is well-suited to this, keeping the load stable and protected.
The crossbar pole design increases usable headroom across the inner, not just at the peak. The floor is tapered, but the width at the head end allows a wide mat to sit comfortably, with enough room to keep essential gear inside. It feels open for a one-person shelter, with good length and practical internal space.
For me, one of the biggest upgrades is the amount of storage. The integrated gear loft and generous pockets provide ample space for smaller items, and the Nightlight Pocket helps diffuse headlamp light for a softer, more even glow. The Landing Zone adds a practical way to keep gear off wet ground in the vestibule.
Setup is straightforward. The freestanding structure and updated fly attachments create a clean pitch with minimal adjustment.
Ventilation is strong, with large mesh panels supporting airflow. Condensation is generally well managed, though conditions will always play a role.
At 1036g for the fly, inner and poles, the focus is on reducing pack weight while maintaining usable space, with the updates improving durability and overall usability in camp.
