The Luna Project's flagship product, the world's lightest umbrella, has been upgraded to version 2. This version contains more than just 'lightness'. Now, we prioritize practical satisfaction over weight.
By applying a silver-coated fabric with a UPF50+ rating, the UV protection provided by the Carbon Sun Guard Umbrella is significantly enhanced. In addition, it is made from 30D 29OT high-density fabric, making it resistant to external factors such as rocks, branches and general friction, so it does not tear easily and lasts a long time.
Storage has also been improved. The double-structured reinforced umbrella cover has a snap button closure to keep the umbrella from falling out while on the move, giving you peace of mind even on rough trails.
Our Verdict
The Carbon Sun Guard Umbrella weighs just 153g and now uses a denser silver-coated fabric with UPF 50+, offering noticeably improved sun protection and heat reflection. On exposed trails, it reduces direct heat and helps maintain comfort without relying solely on clothing layers or sunscreen.
The reinforced storage sleeve with snap closure prevents it from slipping loose in your pack. Setup is quick, and the included free motion kit makes hands-free positioning straightforward.
The fabric handles light abrasion well, and the compact 62cm folded length fits easily into most side pockets. While not designed for storms, it adds solid utility for dry-weather trekking and sun management.
