Howgills to Ribblehead - 3 Days in Northern EnglandWhen planning this trip there was a choice of a 3 day loop or an A-B walk. Given the proximity to the Settle to Carlisle railway it seemed a great opportunity to utilise this rail route and walk between stations. Day One – Friday – 11milesOn arriving at Kirkby Stephen station, a quick change into my boots and we set off from the station car park at around 10.15am.
