Our Verdict
The VÅGA Balaclava has a close, low-bulk fit, with plenty of stretch to sit comfortably around the head and face without feeling restrictive.
The articulated construction lets you wear it as full-face protection, pull it down below the nose and mouth, or use it around the neck as conditions change. I think that flexibility is particularly useful during harder efforts, when full coverage can quickly become too warm.
At 57g, it is light enough to keep in a pocket, and the soft synthetic fabric stays breathable and works neatly under a helmet or hood.
