The roll-top closure offers reliable protection from moisture. The fully seam-taped liner can be turned inside out, making it easy to clean. Front pocket, mesh side pockets and a pole holder provide flexible fastening and organisation options.
The padded mesh contact back, the ergonomically shaped shoulder straps, and a removable hip belt strap ensure comfort. The robust main material made from recycled ripstop nylon is waterproof and is characterised by high abrasion and tear resistance.
Our Verdict
The Typhoon 15 sticks to a proven design, focusing on low weight and full waterproofing rather than adding complexity. At 436g, it remains a light option for day use, with a roll-top closure and seam-taped liner that keeps the kit dry in sustained rain.
The carry is straightforward. The soft back panel sits close to the body and moves naturally, with enough padding for light loads. It is most comfortable up to around 5kg, where the lack of structure is less noticeable. Storage is simple but works well. The main compartment is easy to load, with stretch side pockets and a front pocket adding accessible space. The internal zip pocket helps keep smaller items organised.
It is a focused pack that performs well when used within its limits.
