Our Verdict
The Zionic NXT WP feels like a successful update of the original concept. I like that it retains the light, agile feel of a trail shoe while adding a little more structure and stability for longer days on mixed terrain. The updated cushioning provides a softer, more energetic ride, while the full-length stability plate helps keep the shoe composed on rough tracks and rocky paths.
I think it works best for fast walking, day hikes and lightweight backpacking on mixed terrain.
