Designed for ultra runners and fast packers, the OMM Z-Lite Carbon Poles are an ultralight, minimalist option purpose-built for speed-focused mountain adventures.
These fixed-length poles are impressively lightweight, at just 114 grams per pole (120cm version), making them ideal when every gram matters. The folding four-piece design is a standout feature, collapsing small enough to fit seamlessly into a side pocket or pole quiver. This compact storage is invaluable for runners who need to stash poles quickly during technical descents or flat sections. Despite their featherlight construction, the carbon fibre shafts feel sturdy, offering reliable support on uneven terrain.
The EVA foam grips combine comfort and minimalism, providing enough cushioning for extended use without adding unnecessary bulk. The poles use a simple knotted cord for locking, a straightforward mechanism that avoids the failure risks often seen with twist or flip locks, ensuring dependable performance in demanding conditions.
