Our Verdict
The Inov8 Women’s Roclite Pro Mid GTX boots deliver durability, protection, and lightweight flexibility, making them a strong contender for tackling any trail. These mid-length boots are built with an anatomical foot shape, which enhances comfort by allowing the toes to spread naturally while maintaining a secure hold at the heel. They are lightweight for their robust construction; they are more akin to a traditional hiking boot than a lightweight trail runner, weighing 482g per UK6 shoe.
The Roclite Pro Mid GTX offers 6mm lugs of Inov-8’s famous GRAPHENE-GRIP rubber, patterned after a mountain goat's hoof, and they provide superb traction on various terrain, from hard rock to wet mud. The nylon upper and reinforced toe bumper protect against rugged environments, while a flexible rock plate protects the sole of your foot. As they utilise a GORE-TEX membrane, they are reliably waterproof and breathable.
The cushioned POWERFLOW MAX midsole and BOOMERANG footbed offer a stable, responsive feel, providing some bounce and stability.

- MOUNTAIN GOAT GRIP: Shaped like the hoof pattern of a mountain goat, the 6mm long GRAPHENE-GRIP rubber lugs provide tough, dependable traction on all terrains, from hard rock to soft mud.
- NEW SHAPE: A new foot-shaped design hugs the contours of feet, locking in at the heel and midfoot, then widening at the toes for greater natural comfortand performance.
- GREATER PROTECTION: The boot's upper is made using ballistic nylon -a material so tough it was developed for flak jackets. A flexible rock plate that moves naturally with the foot and a toughened toe bumper provide extra protection in key areas.
- MORE SUPPORT: Cradles overlaying the midfoot and heel tighten when laces are pulled to give a protective, locked-in feel. This couples with amolded TPU external heel stabiliser to give extra support when hiking over technical terrain or carrying a heavy rucksack.
- PERFECT CUSHIONING: A cushionedride that allows for ground-feel stability is served up by the POWERFLOW MAX foam midsole and BOOMERANG footbed. Both also work to give you more bounce with every step –perfect for ambitious long-distance adventures.
- STAYING DRY: The proven GORE-TEX waterproof membrane keeps water out while at the same time also allowing sweat to exit the shoeas vapour.
