Our Verdict
The 2024/2025 Borealis Hoody keeps its minimalist design but now uses recycled materials. The Matrix fabric feels smooth against the skin and moves well, ideal for scrambling or fast-paced hikes where ventilation matters. At 256g (UK12), it’s a good pick when you need wind resistance without the bulk of a full shell. The slim cut works well under a pack. Dual hem adjustments and elasticated cuffs keep things tidy, and the hand pockets sit high enough for a harness or hipbelt. Good for spring mountain days or cool starts where breathability matters more than full protection.
