Our Verdict
A specialised accessory for the current Flash and Zip systems. If you own an older Jetboil, unfortunately, this version is not compatible. At 63g, the WindGuard is small enough that I could see it living in the pot full-time, whether strong winds are forecast or not.
The pot-mounted design is the standout feature. It wraps around the burner to improve efficiency in exposed conditions while avoiding the safety concerns associated with enclosing the gas canister. I also like that it packs neatly inside the compatible Jetboil systems when not in use. For anyone regularly cooking on windy hillsides or exposed camps, it feels like a sensible addition to an already efficient stove system.
