Nitecore's TIP 2 USB Rechargeable Light is a versatile durable and amazingly powerful torch with some great features.

The Nitecore TIP 2 keyring light has a maximum output of 720 lumens from the 2 x Cree XP-G3 S3 LED and is powered by a built-in Li-ion battery. Following on from the success and popularity of the TIP 2017, this next generation provides double the brightness and with a slightly different design, does not compromise on durable and functional build quality.
The keyring torch has a magnetic tail cap which can be separated from the body of the light for quick detachment. Featuring two neodymium magnets, the TIP 2 can withstand up to 2.5kg of weight. Additionally, the magnetic tail cap can be used to attach the flashlight to ferromegnetic materials such as when tinkering on cars, camping or using in an industrial space.
Nestled between the magnets is a micro USB port for quick and efficient recharging. The TIP 2 has a charging indicator on the side which will flash slowly whilst charging or remain on when charging is complete. The light offers multiple charging safeguards, including over-discharge protection, short circuit protection and automatic termination upon charging completion.
The TIP 2 features a demo mode which automatically turns off after 30 seconds and a daily mode providing long-time illumination. The light offers four brightness levels ranging from 1 to 720 lumens. The keyring torch has a CNC machined, aluminium alloy design which makes the torch lightweight and offers excellent heat dissipation.
Our Verdict
Nitecore's TIP 2 USB Rechargeable Light is a versatile and exceptionally bright torch with an array of useful features. 720 Lumens is an amazing figure for a torch you can attached to your key ring. The torch fits snugly into a small case with a belt clip so you can always have it close to hand whether its attached to you or your rucksack for example.
The Tip 2 has a magnetic end with a covering so you can easily attach the torch to something metallic for hands free lighting by removing the end cover. Its easy to charge with a micro USB port.
