The tent continues to feature an 8.7 mm DAC NFL main pole and a TN Reflex alloy end pole, ensuring a highly durable yet incredibly lightweight structure. The upgrade to 10Dripstop PFC-free, recycled fabric enhances sustainability, durability and weather resistance, making it a reliable choice for fast-moving expeditions.
Despite its ultralight build, the Laser Pulse 1 maintains a comfortable sitting height of 85cm, providing more headroom than many other tents in its category. The single side-entry door allows for easy access, while the 20cm porch provides space for essential gear storage. Its FASTPACK compatibility allows users to further reduce weight by stripping out unnecessary components, making it even more versatile for ultralight setups.

Our Verdict
Built for fast solo missions, the updated Laser Pulse 1 is a true minimalist’s tent—light on weight, not on function.
At just 562g (excluding pegs and bags), this is one of the lightest double-wall shelters available, yet it still provides full coverage and weather protection for three-season use. The 2025 version introduces a fully recycled, PFC-free flysheet, inner, and groundsheet, which feels like a smart step forward environmentally. The structure is supported by a DAC NFL central pole and alloy end pole, and it’s quick to pitch once you’ve learned the routine.
Inside, it’s long and low—fine for sleeping and stashing a small pack, but not a space you’ll want to spend time in. The 20cm porch is tight but just about workable for a minimalist cook setup. The 85cm peak height is generous for the weight and makes sitting up easier than expected. For fast packers, multi-day runners, or bikepackers chasing grams, it’s a niche tent that does its job exceptionally well—if you understand its limitations.
