Our Verdict
The Buff Tech Fleece Gloves weigh 31g (Medium) and use a soft Polartec fleece blend for warmth without much bulk.
For me, the close fit and low weight are the main appeal. They keep plenty of dexterity for trekking poles, zips and general kit handling, while the silicone grip across the palms and fingers adds a bit more control.
The touchscreen-compatible fingertips are useful for light navigation and the occasional photo, and the elasticated wrist keeps the fit simple.
There is no real wind or waterproof protection here, so their strength is straightforward fleece warmth, breathability and freedom of movement.
