Our Verdict
Osprey's Talon Pro 40L is a durable yet lightweight pack that can handle any pursuit. This technical daypack is constructed with Osprey's bombproof NanoFly fabric—a 210D recycled nylon reinforced with a double-ripstop grid of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethene for outstanding abrasion resistance. Yet the Talon Pro still keeps weight in check.
While robustly built, the Talon Pro 40 doesn't sacrifice carrying comfort or dynamic mobility. The innovative injection-moulded AirScape frame and adjustable sliding torso provide supportive structure and ventilation for active use.
The BioStretch mesh harness and hip belt allow excellent freedom of movement. An array of functional pockets, lash points, and compression straps let you securely haul gear in an organised manner for everything from day hikes to alpine climbs to self-supported bikepacking adventures. With its quiver-killing versatility across disciplines, the aptly named Talon Pro represents the pinnacle of Osprey's decades of experience building performance outdoor packs.
