Our Verdict
The Jetboil Summit Skillet offers excellent control and consistency for a pan of its size. At 300 g, it feels reassuringly solid rather than heavy, and the ceramic non-stick surface performs well, making washing up simple. Heat spreads evenly across the base, avoiding the hot spots that plague thinner pans. The fold-out handle is firm and secure, and the nesting spatula is convenient, though it benefits from being replaced with a sturdier silicone one if you use it a lot.
I would use a canister support, especially if using a 210g canister. The coating has proved long-lasting with regular care, maintaining its slick finish over time,a well-executed, reliable skillet for those who like cooking properly in camp.
I’ve had mine for years, knocking out stir-fries, steaks and, most importantly, bacon sandwiches. It’s probably been on more overnighters than any other piece kit.
