The Cotopaxi Sombra Sun Hoodie focuses on breathability and sun protection, with a soft fabric that feels smooth against the skin and stays comfortable as temperatures rise. It manages moisture well during steady walking and dries quickly when you're working hard.
The fit is relaxed through the shoulders and chest, allowing good airflow, though it can feel slightly loose, which is what I want from a sun hoody. The hood gives solid coverage and works best over a cap, sitting more securely and reducing movement in light wind. Thumb loops extend sleeve coverage across the hands, which is noticeable on open sections.
At 175g (Medium), it sits comfortably in the lightweight range. Overall, it suits long, warm-weather walks where coverage and comfort are the priority.
