Light, adjustable and shelter-friendly

The Skytera Carbon Lite´s combination of carbon and aluminium provides the ideal balance of lightness and stability. The three-section pole is equipped with the slim Verticon foam grip. What makes it special is the dimensionally stable, ultra-light and quick-drying D-Loop Mesh Strap, which is already used in trail running. The grip weighs only 28 g including the strap and impresses with its absolute lightness, perfect ergonomic shape and a grip extension for additional grip options. After many metres of elevation gain, the Verticon offers descent control and comfort with its large grip surface.
Thanks to the simple adjustment system, the pole can be quickly adjusted in length between 100 and 135 cm.
Our Verdict
At 205g per pole, the LEKI Skytera Carbon Lite keeps weight low without sacrificing the ability to make adjustments to the pole length. The 100–135cm range is a real advantage, providing enough length for descents and making these more suitable for trekking-pole shelters than many compact poles.
I like the simplicity of the three-section telescopic build, with Speed Lock 2 Plus clamps that are quick to adjust and are more secure than twist locks. The Verticon foam grip keeps weight down and feels comfortable in the hand, and the extended grip helps on steep or uneven ground, though the slim shape may suit smaller hands best.
The 67cm packed length is less neat than a folding pole, but it is fine on the outside of a pack.
