Our Verdict
The Pyro 750 uses 750-fill down with a 670g fill to deliver strong insulation in consistently cold conditions, weighing 1131g, which feels well judged. The temperature ratings feel realistic for UK winter use when paired with an appropriate mat. Pack size is consistent with bags capable of lower temperatures. I would leave the stuff sack at home and let the weight of my gear compress the bag, which would be more efficient if looking to save space.
The mummy cut is relatively trim, which helps retain heat but can be restrictive for broader builds or for those who move around at night. A full-length zip adds useful control over ventilation, which can help manage temperature in milder conditions. Build quality is solid, with a well-shaped hood, effective draft protection and enough adjustment to maintain comfort as temperatures drop.
