Our Verdict
These fixed-length carbon poles from Black Diamond fold quickly into a compact 40 cm bundle, making them ideal for fastpackers or anyone who needs quick stow-and-go convenience. At just over 200g per pole (depending on length), they’re light without feeling flimsy, and the cork grips are genuinely excellent—angled slightly to reduce wrist fatigue, with foam extensions that come into their own on steep ground. The mesh straps are breathable and sit comfortably against the skin, though they don’t offer quite the same structure as padded alternatives.
As with any fixed-length design, you’ll want to be confident in your sizing, but the simplicity pays off once you’re dialled in. The carbon shafts feel secure on rocky and uneven terrain.
