Our Verdict
Weighing 23g, the Petzl Core replaces AAA batteries or acts as a backup for your Petzl head torch. The updated Core Battery features USB-C charging, eliminating the need to carry an older USB-B cable. The charge indicator is clear and easy to follow, and brightness is stronger and more stable than with disposables, though runtimes shorten on maximum settings.
