Built for the demands of mountain running in changeable conditions, the Minimus Nano Pull On pushes lightweight protection to the limits. Designed using PERTEX Shield, this highly waterproof membrane is protected by a super lightweight tricot face and internal mesh print. Critical features are carefully engineered to maximise function and reduce weight. Elasticated cuffs and hem alongside the PIVOT 0 hood lock out the wind and rain, whilst the extended centre front half length zip ensures getting this jacket on and off is quick and easy whilst retaining the jackets market leading packability.
Our Verdict
At 106g (Medium), the Montane Unisex Minimus Nano Pull-On is a highly specialised waterproof for running, fastpacking and race use, where the priority is carrying the lightest possible protection. The Pertex Shield fabric provides reliable wet-weather cover, with a 15,000mm hydrostatic head and a high breathability rating, but the real appeal is how little space it takes up in a vest or small pack.
The half-zip, elasticated hem, and minimalist hood keep the design simple and quick to pull on when conditions change. The included CUBE stuff sack is a smart detail, especially as the fabric can be used for repairs. There are no pockets, pit zips or full-length zips, and it is not built for rough treatment under heavy packs. Best for runners and fastpackers wanting emergency waterproof protection at the lowest possible weight.
