Built for the demands of mountain running in changeable conditions, the Minimus Nano Pants pushes lightweight protection to the limits. Designed using PERTEX Shield, this highly waterproof membrane is protected by a super lightweight tricot face and internal mesh print. Critical features are carefully engineered to maximise function and reduce weight. Minimalist elasticated waistband gives lightweight comfort and works alongside the YKK zipped ankle opening to ensure the pant is easy to get on and off.
Our Verdict
The Montane Unisex Minimus Nano Pants make most sense as emergency waterproof trousers for running, fastpacking and lightweight summer trips. At 101g (Medium), they are light enough to carry even when rain looks unlikely, but the Pertex Shield fabric, taped seams and 15,000mm hydrostatic head still give proper wet-weather cover.
The trim fit keeps them neat for moving fast, but limits layering over bulkier trousers. For race kit, fast hiking and just-in-case rain protection, they excel.
