Our Verdict
At 254g (UK12), the Comici Pants feel best suited to warm-weather mountain days where freedom of movement matters more than heavy protection. I like the use of EXOLITE 125 softshell fabric here: it keeps the weight low, dries quickly, and provides enough stretch for scrambling without feeling loose or floppy. The slim ankle cut is well thought out, especially on technical ground where excess fabric can get in the way.
The pocket layout is practical rather than generous, with zippered storage throughout and a mesh-lined thigh pocket that also enhances ventilation.
The integrated belt and double press-stud waist keep the fit secure without adding bulk under a pack or harness. I'm not usually a fan of integrated belts, as I like the option to choose a belt for myself, but this one works well, so no complaints from me.
For summer scrambling, climbing approaches, and fast hill days, these make a lot of sense.
