Our Verdict
The Rab Latok GTX Gaiters are built for proper mountain use rather than general muddy paths. At 193g (Medium), they use 80D 3-layer GORE-TEX with a 28,000mm hydrostatic head, giving strong waterproof protection without feeling overly bulky.
The fit is slim and close, which should reduce snagging around crampons and rough ground. I like the mix of stretchy Proflex at the rear and Spectra ripstop reinforcement around the ankle, as it balances movement with abrasion resistance. The replaceable underfoot strap is another sensible detail.
