Our Verdict
Petzl's Irvis Hybrid Cramponprovide a good combination of lightweight and durable with the front section of the crampons made from steel and the rear from aluminium. This still enables the crampons to maintain traction and technical performance but with added durability through the use of steel. With 10 points, a unique LeverLock binding system, AntiSnow protection and a storage bag you are getting a high quality crampon in the Irvis Hybrid.
The main advantages of these crampons is the low weight which is helped by the cord-tec connection between the front and rear sections, this rope lowers weight compared to metal connections and allows the crampons to be packed without the added bulk.
