Our Verdict
The Hurricane XLT3 builds on a familiar design with noticeably more cushioning underfoot, which makes a difference over longer days on the trail. The three-point adjustment allows for a precise fit, holding the foot securely without overtightening, and it adapts if feet swell throughout the day.
Underfoot, the added cushioning and structured platform give a stable feel on uneven ground, with enough grip for dry trails, gravel and light wet conditions. It leans more towards support than ground feel, which suits steady hiking rather than minimalist use. The straps feel durable and dry quickly after water crossings, and the overall build gives confidence when moving between trail, campsite and town.
