Our Verdict
Sierra Design's High Route 3000 1P Tent is an innovative design for a trekking pole tent. The seemingly simple design creates a spacious and stable shelter with the use of trekking poles where, for a change, they are not inside the tent right in the way. There are numerous features that make this tent a pleasure to use for short trips through to extended expeditions.
The low weight and small packsize are excellent for weight and space conscious backpackers. Practical features such as the small 'garage door' opening on the other side of the tent make the vestibule much easier to use no matter how bad the conditions may be. It is quick and easy to pitch once you get the hang of it and it's really versatile with an outer or inner only pitch possible.
