The Group Shelter 8-10 is designed as an emergency shelter for 8-10 people, to be used when the storm hits or for planned stops in bad weather.
Made using a light-weight and windproof polyester fabric, support is provided by the users within. Features include waterproof seats, weather-resistant ventilation windows and recesses in the roof of the shelter allow poles to be used as braces.
The Group Shelter comes in a safety orange colour and features reflective piping for high-visibility.
Our Verdict
The Group Shelter Bothy is made from a light-weight and windproof polyester fabric that features waterproof seats and weather-resistant ventilated windows. It's simple to use, just take it straight out of it's stuff sack, open it up and sit inside on the seats, using your body's as support. By sitting on the seats your body's will stop the shelter from blowing away in high winds. Recesses in the roof of the shelter also allows poles to be used as a brace.
The Group Shelter comes in a bright orange colour with a reflective logo and piping for easy visibility, and is supplied with a drawcord stuff sack. It is relatively lightweight and packs down to a small size to fit inside your rucksack. An important safety item to keep with you in your pack.
