Our Verdict

The LifeStraw Go 2.0 is an excellent portable water filter bottle for hiking, travel, or everyday use. Its two-stage filtration system is very impressive - the 0.2 micron membrane filter removes over 99.999% of bacteria, parasites, microplastics, dirt and cloudiness from water sources, while the activated carbon filter reduces chlorine, odors and organic chemical matter to improve taste.

The filter's longevity is a major plus - the membrane microfilter lasts up to 1,000 gallons or about 5 years of typical use, while the carbon filter lasts around 2 months. This prevents a lot of plastic waste compared to disposable bottled water.

The bottle itself is made from 50% recycled plastic and is BPA-free. It has a nice size at 1 liter capacity while still being portable.
