Our Verdict
The Gossamer Gear FT3 Folding Trekking Poles weigh 183g each and fold down to just 38cm, making them much easier to tuck into a side pocket or secure externally when you want your hands free.
I like the simple lever-lock adjustment, and the 115- 130 cm range covers most normal walking and shelter-pitching heights without adding unnecessary complexity.
A small detail I particularly like is the tent decal on the shaft, which marks the correct height for Gossamer Gear’s trekking-pole shelters. It is minor, but saves guesswork when pitching.
The low weight, short packed size and quick deployment make them particularly appealing when poles are coming in and out of use throughout the day.
