Our Verdict
The LEKI Khumbu Lite Compact Trekking Poles prioritise dependable trail performance over the lowest possible weight. At 234g per pole, they strike a sensible balance between durability and comfort, with the aluminium shafts providing a reassuringly solid feel on rough ground and rocky terrain.
The Aergon grip is the standout feature for me. It offers good support on long days, while the breathable Soft Strap helps keep the poles comfortable in regular use. I also like the Speed Lock+ system, which has quick adjustments and secure locking.
The 90-125cm adjustment range accommodates a broad range of users and remains practical for many trekking pole shelters. For hillwalking, backpacking and long-distance trails, these are straightforward, dependable poles that focus on getting the fundamentals right.
