Designed with a groundbreaking manufacturing approach that removes nearly 60% of the foam, the pad self-inflates to increase thickness and provide ridged baffling for faster recovery after a hard day on the mountain. An air baffle around the perimeter allows for extra foam to be added to the “bridge” in between each baffle with no weight penalty. The Nemo Flyer Cloud SI Hybrid Regular Mummy Sleeping Mat prioritises comfort, weighing 864g and featuring an R-value of 5.2. It sits towards the warmer end of the three-season range, with enough insulation to handle colder nights.
At 8cm thick, it feels notably cushioned; the hybrid foam-and-air construction creates a stable sleeping platform with less movement than standard air mats and works particularly well for side sleepers.
Warmth is consistent across the mat, with no noticeable cold spots. The self-inflating design does most of the work, requiring only a small amount of air to fine-tune firmness. The valve system is simple and easy to manage, though packing away takes more effort due to the foam core and larger pack size.
