Nikwax Down Wash is the ultimate non-detergent cleaner for all down filled clothing and equipment. It safely revitalises your garments insulation and water-repellency, without damaging the Durable Water Repellent coating. It's easy to apply and can be used in a washing machine or hand washed. This 300ml Down Wash is designed to work alongside Nikwax's Down proof to give your garment the best protection.
Handy hint: When drying your down garment try putting it in a tumble dryer on a slow spin with a clean tennis ball. This tennis ball will help separate and move the down while its drying so you are not left with clumps of down settling in one area of your garment.

Specifications
- Capacity 300ml
- Down wash contains amongst other ingredients: less than 5%: polycarboxylates. 5-15%: soap, non-ionic surfactants
Machine Wash for down clothing only:
- Removes all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser.
- Place maximum 1 item in washing machine.
- Use 3 full caps (150ml) in medium/hard water areas and 2 full caps (100ml) in soft water areas.
- Wash according to care label preferably on low setting and slow spin.
Hand wash for down clothing and 1-2 season sleeping bags:
- Use gloves. Immerse item(s) in hand-hot water in bowl or bath.
For clothing: Use 3 full caps (150ml) in medium/hard water areas and 2 full caps (100ml) in soft water areas. For sleeping bags: Use 3 full caps (150ml) in 4cm deep water in a bath. - Agitate to mix, leave to soak for 5-10 minutes, then agitate thoroughly.
- Rinse clothing in cold water until water runs clear. For sleeping bags repeat process, drain and gently press bag to expel excess water.
Drying:
- Spin dry 3 times (slow spin). If care label allows tumble dry according to manufacturers instructions on a low setting until 'clumps' have disappeared. Teasing apart clumps repeatedly during drying process will help restore loft to the down.
