Our Verdict
The Dollar Collar, or as we hear on the other side of the pond, call it the “Pound Around”, is Gossamer Gear’s take on the trail wallet-meets-neck pouch. At just 16g, it’s light enough to forget you’re wearing it, but still does a solid job of keeping cards, notes, and a key or two safe and accessible. The lanyard setup makes it easy to wear cross-body or around the neck, and the small ring is handy if you want to clip on your house keys.
It’s made from offcut pack fabric, which I like — not just for the sustainability angle, but because it’s proven stuff that feels like it’ll hold up well to years of trail use. The shape and size are dialled in for the basics, though don’t expect it to hold much more than the essentials.
