Our Verdict
The Black Diamond Distance Winter Cap weighs 66g and uses GridTech fleece through selected panels and the ear flaps, adding insulation without making the whole cap feel bulky.
You can wear the ear flaps down when it is colder or breezier, then fold them up once you warm up.
The rear bungee also lets you fine-tune the fit, while the soft, packable construction makes it easy to stuff into a pocket when you do not need it.
